About

Since 2014

Founded in February 2014, the Youth Policy Center (previously the Moroccan Organisation for Young Decision-makers) is a think and do tank that aims to empower youth both economically and politically, while inculcating the values of dialogue and civic engagement in the process.

With more than 26,000 beneficiaries and followers, the members of the YPC work in productive partnerships with Moroccan institutions, European and African NGOs, as well as the Danish Youth Council and the U.S. Department of State (Fellowship programs). The Center is also duly registered at the European Commission.

Strategy-oriented

Diversified action for a strong impact

According to article 4 of its bylaws, the YPC aims to:

Strengthen the presence of young people in influent political decision positions
Publish multidisciplinary research and recommend public policies to decision-makers
Develop youth’s decision-making and strategy skills
Improve the employability and capacities of young people in various fields of interest

For each of these objectives a number of programs are shaped, and we directly involve youth that demonstrate motivation and discipline in the implementation process.

Values-based Leadership

Our Principles

In our youth-empowering action, we operate under the following principles:

I have been part of this partnership for six years. And what a journey it has been so far! We have worked on empowering youth, encouraging civic engagement, enabling social entrepreneurship, ensuring gender equality as well as cultural exchange. All projects are created on pillars of constructive dialogue and democratic commitment. Throughout the years, friendships have flourished and Morocco has become my second home.

Reflect

Because we first and foremost produce thoughts and ideas. We also promote analytical thinking among youth.

Act

We take action in order to empower youth, through large-scale campaigns, trainings, advocacy and direct interventions to improve youth’s economic prospects.

Inspire

Through our action, we also aim to lead by giving the example. We share the elements of our successes with any NGOs and individuals striving with good will to empower youth and promote the values of dialogue, inclusion and tolerance.
