The debate on migration in Germany is taking a major turn with the alliance between the CDU and the AfD, influencing European migration policies and, consequently, relations with Morocco. This document examines how Germany’s proposed migration reforms impact Morocco, considering migration realities, cooperation dynamics, and economic challenges. As a country of origin, transit, and destination for many migrants, Morocco is directly affected by European migration policies. Stricter measures from Germany could heighten tensions in bilateral relations and affect the management of migration flows in Morocco. This document also suggests recommendations for a more coherent management of migration flows between Morocco and Germany, emphasizing the importance of regional and European cooperation.
